Peter and Annette Barrow have been successfully managing property and holiday homes in the Wanaka area since buying Wanaka Reservations in 1999.
Prior to that they had developed a strong reputation for service in the hospitality industry in the Wanaka area running Barrows Tavern for eight years and being heavily involved in the local community.
Other interests have included guiding mountainbiking tours through Vietnam and being involved in local sports teams.
They pride themselves on their reputation for a high level of service and integrity and also have a wealth of local knowledge to help visitors to Wanaka enjoy a unique holiday home experience in the beautiful Southern Lakes.
Today Wanaka Reservations is the only independent property management company in Wanaka, concentrating on property management, with other core activities as follows.
1. Property Management: We offer a full property management service for residential properties. This includes long term letting of properties according to the Residential Tenancies Act 1986, and also short term letting of holiday homes.
2. Property Maintenance: We employ our own staff for cleaning, laundering and ground maintenance (lawn mowing, gardening). With short term letting all properties are cleaned between guests and the linen is changed. We also have a number of contractors who under take some work during peak season, when our work load is too high.
3. Short term relief Management: Many smaller commercial accommodation operators in Wanaka find it difficult to leave their businesses for extended times, and with our background in both hospitality and accommodation we offer a relief management service.
4. Commercial Property: Spencer House Mall is an extensive two level retail development in the heart of Wanaka. Wanaka Reservations has taken on the management of this complex from the beginning of 2006.
